THE HISTORY: Mike's career actually started in 1986 while attending the University of Lowell in Massachusetts as a music major. During a summer break, his father introduced him to the General Manager of 1450 WKIP-AM in Poughkeepsie, NY, which eventually led to a part time summer job. That job steared Mike away from music, and drove him towards a new passion....broadcasting. He transferred into Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he became Program Director of the college's FM radio station, 100.5 WDCC. In 1990, he earned his Bachelors Degree from The State University of New York at New Paltz, and while attending, he became the Production Director and official voice of college-run 88.7 WFNP-FM. Mike landed his first full time radio job on his graduation day, at 94.3 WBPM-FM in Kingston, NY. While there, Mike was tapped to be the official voice of the Friar Tuck Inn in Catskill, NY; in charge of voice productions for Kool and the Gang, Joe Piscopo, and the group "America" to name a few. In 1992, Mike jumped to Walker Broadcasting's 107.3 WRWD and 93.3 WBWZ as Creative and Production Director for the group. Mike was acknowledged by state and national organizations for Outstanding Radio Production. In March of 1996, Mike jumped over to Sunrise Broadcasting's 103.1 WGNY in Newburgh, NY, to take on the Production Director and Midday On Air talent position. Mike was recognized by the company for award winning commercial production, and taking their midday ratings to their highest point ever in station history! In September of 1996, Mike found his way back to 107.3 WRWD to be the new host for the "Mike in the Morning Show", bringing the radio station and the morning show into the Top 3 for the Poughkeepsie area for the first time ever! In 1999, Mike left WRWD to pursue a bigger dream; to work in the nation's largest radio market....New York City. Mike spent 5 months at Country 107.1 WYNY before the station was eventually sold. From WYNY, he joined up with 93.3 WFLS, just outside of Washington DC, in Northern Virginia. Mike was brought in as their new afternoon star, and was soon promoted to Assistant Program Director. While at WFLS, Mike's voice was contracted for work with Paramount Pictures, Budweiser, Hooter's Restaurant, as well as tons of local Northern Virginia sponsors that demanded Mike's vocal talent. In late 2007, Mike moved to the Bay Area of California to marry his fiancee Christina. Mike built his state of the art voiceover studio inside of their home in San Ramon, California. He currently works at Entercom San Francisco's country powerhouse, 95.7 the Wolf, KBWF, as well as being behind the helm for Mike Vincent Productions!
